Cookie statement The Digital PO Box

1. Introduction

This cookie statement applies to all websites managed by or affiliated with The Digital PO Box (the public website at thedigitalpobox.com and the customer portal at portal.thedigitalpobox.com).

In this statement, we explain what cookies are, which cookies we use and for what purpose, and how you can change cookie settings or delete cookies yourself.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you visit a website. These text files contain information that can be read by the website when you visit the site again at a later time. For example, cookies ensure that you stay logged in, or that we can keep statistics to improve our websites.

3. Why do we use cookies?

3.1 Functional cookies

These cookies are necessary for the technical operation of our websites and the ease of use. For example, they keep you logged in to your account, remember your language preference, and remember a campaign or referral link you arrived with so the correct offer is applied at signup.

Because functional cookies are essential, they are set by default and you cannot object to them without the website possibly no longer functioning properly. The large majority of the cookies we use fall into this category.

3.2 Statistics (analytical) cookies

Statistics cookies would allow us to measure and analyse how our websites are used — for example which pages are popular and how visitors navigate the site.

We do not currently set any statistics cookies. If we introduce them, they will only be placed after you have given consent for the "Statistics" category via our cookie banner.

3.3 Marketing cookies

We use one marketing cookie, tdpb_gclid, to measure and attribute conversions from Google Ads campaigns (it stores the Google Click ID of the ad you clicked). This cookie is only set after you have given consent for the "Marketing" category via our cookie banner.

We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies (such as Facebook Pixel or LinkedIn Insight).

3.4 Other cookies

We do not embed third-party content (such as chat widgets or embedded videos) that sets its own cookies.

4. Which cookies do we place exactly?

The table below lists the cookies set across our websites. All cookies are first-party (set by The Digital PO Box or software running on our own domains).

Website administration

Our content-management system also sets a small number of standard WordPress functional cookies for logged-in administrators (for login, interface preferences and content editing). These are only ever set for our own staff and are never placed on visitors or customers.

5. Consent and settings

On your first visit, we display a cookie banner in which you can indicate which cookies you want to allow (functional, statistics, marketing). You can change this choice later:

Have you previously consented to cookies and want to change the settings? Then you can update the cookie preferences via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer (or via your browser settings).

6. Third-party cookies

We do not set third-party cookies. Should we add third-party content in future (for example embedded videos or social-media integrations), those providers may set their own cookies; we will disclose this here and ask for consent where required.

7. Processing of personal data

If cookies collect personal data (such as an identifier), please also refer to our privacy statement for more information about how we handle your data, what your rights are and how you can contact us.

8. Changes

We may amend this cookie statement from time to time, for example if our websites or legislation changes. The most recent version can always be found on this page. At the bottom you can see when this statement was last modified.

Changes to this Cookie Statement will also be reflected in the overview available under Section 7 of our Privacy Statement, which is updated regularly.

9. Other

In the event of any discrepancies between this English version and any translations, the English version shall prevail. Translations are provided for convenience only and do not create any legal obligations or rights.

10. Questions or complaints

Do you have any questions about this Cookie Statement or would you like to file a complaint? Please contact our Privacy Officer via [email protected] or consult our Privacy Statement for more information. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority within the EU or the UAE.
